Round Two

Romulus

Recap: Tursten and Aliah moved in and we learned that while Tursten keeps the place clean, Aliah is quite the slob.  Aliah gave birth to their son and heir, Targe, and soon after she was suffering from morning sickness again.

Well apart from the camera settings tripping me up things went well this round, and with a kid in the house Tursten and Aliah will have lots more time to focus on the twins.

Tama

Recap: Herrar and Iloise spent a lot of time with their neighbours.  Herrar was disappointed that the only shoe Iloise could give him was a stinky old pond boot.  But hey, at least she gave him a beautiful girl: Iliana.  She managed to grow up into a toddler because I am making the rounds six days long until I can match up the rounds with the seasons.

A note: With regards to Herrar's Heterochromia iridum (eye mutation) I've decided to roll to see whether his children also have the mutation or not, or if they carry the gene but do not display it.  So far Isaak is the only one to even be a carrier as I gave the odds of displaying the gene a 1/7 chance (2/7 to carry the gene, and of course 4/7 for no gene).

Holonson

Recap: Findir and Melina proved to have a very full and odd first round.  Complete with Findir's dorkiness as he falls off the hammock or onto his butt while fishing, and Melina feeling no embarrassment with regards to her bodily functions.  After quite some effort on their part, they finally rear a baby boy, Fenrir.

Zephyr

Recap: Last round was the round of firsts, for Alain and Noelle as well as for me.  Most importantly, there was a fire!  Luckily no one got hurt.  Later, Aariela was born.

Karr

Recap: We met the elves of this challenge!  Da'h and Tumnal proved they really are creatures of nature.  After Tumnal tried to chase the evil glow off of her husband and the evil voice (me) out of her head, she gave birth to the first set of twins, Dion and Darita.

Such a crazy crazy round.  For me at least.  After getting triplets so early on in the challenge I am considering whether or not to turn the Trip/Quad odds down even further.  It is currently at 2/6/18/74.  So 6 out of 100 births would ideally be triplets.  That still sounds like a lot when I say it like that.  Considering there already have been 11 births and it is only round 2.

Anyway, on to the rankings thus far.  This isn't the whole complicated tables and formulas I'm doing using Microsoft Excel but just to give you a general idea of how things are going for these families.  Note that the total points depends on other factors not shown as well as funds.  Total points is what determines a household's overall rank, the lower the points, the better.  The overall rank is what will determine each households social class in the Roman era.

As you can see, the Romulus household is currently in the lead, most likely due to the fact that Tursten became a plantsim.  That gold gardening badge does help to cage an extra few dollars.  Of course it also helps that the Romulus's are not an S4 family.
